Buffer Coupling Pipes
This function will only work when the loco is at stand, therefore it is possible to prime it while the loco is approaching the train and will only sound once it has come to a stop.

When first pressed and the loco is coming to a stand (or is already at a stop) you will get the sound of the loco buffering up, then being coupled up, followed by the brake pipe being connected.

When you are ready to uncouple the loco fro
This function will only work when the loco is at stand, therefore it is possible to prime it while the loco is approaching the train and will only sound once it has come to a stop.

When first pressed and the loco is coming to a stand (or is already at a stop) you will get the sound of the loco buffering up, then being coupled up, followed by the brake pipe being connected.

When you are ready to uncouple the loco from the train deactivate the function, this will trigger the uncouple shuffle. The loco will push back onto the train to release the tension in the coupling and will then draw forward away from the train, at the same time you will then the sound of the loco buffering back up to the train, followed by the brake pipe being disconnected and the loco being uncoupled. To disable the movement of the loco set cv 246=0
